January Update

I haven't had too much to blog about the last few weeks. I hope everyone enjoyed and survived the holidays. I will admit to an enormous hangover on New Year's Day though. Partied with friends and family and I think I had a good time. I only remember snippets of the evening. Yeah, my bad, but sometimes you need to just let go.

The last few weeks, while fitting in some time for the holidays, I've been busy doing first round edits for The Devil Take You, (MIU) finalized edits for Lost Time (TEB) and expect to have Streetlight People (TEB) back from my editor for first round edits by the end of the week. Busy but loving it.

I have neglected not only the blog, but also some of my other projects and maybe even some children and a hubby. Sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day.

The next couple of months will be busy with releases and blog spots and I have a few guests lined up too so stay tuned. In the mean time, here is the blurb for The Devil Take You, my second historical romance with MuseItUp Publishing. I don't think I've shared anything from this book yet. Gard Marschand is not your typical hero. He's not a nice guy at all. That's why I love him. Enjoy...

The Devil Take You

Scotland - 1307 - During the Scottish Wars of Independence

Gard Marschand will stop at nothing in his pursuit to regain what is lost. Concealing his true identity, he will associate with his enemies, kill his own countrymen, even sell his soul to the devil if all else fails. He will lie, cheat, steal, rape and siege his way across two countries gaining power and reputation in his malevolent wake. Whatever it takes, he is determined to recapture what has been wrongfully stripped from him. His obsession for revenge is all consuming until he is commanded by King Edward to lay siege to Ross-shire holding and Braelynn Galbraith obliterates his single-minded purpose.

Braelynn Galbraith wants peace for her beloved Scotland, marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Callum, and a house full of children. In that order. What she gets is evil incarnate in the form of Gard Marschand, who turns her life inside out and destroys all hope of a decent marriage. He is cold, cruel and calculating. But once in a while, Brae catches a glimpse of the man he attempts to keep hidden and he just might be everything she seeks and more.

Can Gard abandon his deep-seeded need for revenge for a love that might just save his soul, or will he succumb to the demons that hound him and surrender to the devil within?
