TIN MAN
S DANCE (A New Adult Novella)
By MK Schiller

The one time Lilly Franklin decides to reward herself with tickets to her favorite indie artist
s concert, there is a seat mix-up. Not to mention the tall, cocky boy who claims her front-row seat is all wicked smiles, long legs and tug-worthy hair. Lilly quickly decides this boy is messing with the wrong girl. But as the night wears on, Lily starts to see a softer side of former marine, James “Hutch” Hutchinson. A side that makes her shed her loner inhibitions along with her clothes.

There is a difference between trouble and troubled, but Hutch is both.

Hutch lost more than a leg in the Iraqi dessert. Returning to school on the GI Bill wasn
t exactly in the plans…but plans change. Now he only wants to meet the dancer he saw at the recitals his roommate dragged him to, but hes forgotten how to talk to women, especially a woman as graceful as Lilly. So armed with a plan that even a twelve-years-old would laugh at, James steals Lillys seat.

Only fair since she stole his heart first.

But Lilly has plans, too. As if Hutch
s life wasnt already a sh*t storm of sacrifice. Now, he has to give up the one thing he cant get enough of.

Teaser :
“My mother always said ‘Its never too late to start something as long as you intend to finish it.’”

“That’s good advice.”

My mom had an expression too: Sometimes you find trouble, and sometimes you find troubled. It takes a smart woman to know the difference. Clearly, in James Hutchinson I had found both.

Excerpt from Tin Mans Dance

“There’s a field not far from here. We could have a picnic. You should see the flowers that bloom there.” I bit my lip because he would see them next year. I wouldnt. I kept going, my breaths materializing physically in the cool air.

“There are roses and hydrangeas and…”

 “Lilies? Are there lilies?”

“Stargazer lilies. Do you know what those are?”

 He shook his head.

“They look like pink stars bursting open. Theyre lovely.”

 “Are they tall?”

I tilted my head back, eyeing him curiously. “Not really. Why do you ask?”

“Cause I want to know if we can f*ck in that field without being found out.”

I spun around, facing him. He feigned an innocent look while I stabbed my finger against his chest. “I cant believe you transformed my beautiful fantasy into soft-core porn.”

James leaned his forehead against mine, his mischievous smirk causing my panties to dampen. “There is nothing soft-core about me. Besides, your fantasy was making me grow a vagina.”

I stared at him for a second before breaking out into a full-on laugh attack. I think we laughed hard enough to wake the sun back up.

His hand shifted to my lower back. He bent his mouth close to my ear. “I dont know a damn thing about flowers, but I can tell you without a doubt there is no lovelier Lilly than the one Im holding.”

 Okay…so that just happened.

TIN MAN'S DANCE (A New Adult Novella) by MK Schiller
If he only had a heart...

Former marine James Hutchinson thought they might have amputated his heart right along with his right leg. That is, until he sees Lilly Franklin dance. In a crazy ploy to meet her, he steals her front row concert seat... but it’s only fair since she stole his heart first.

 My Review

Recommended Read! 5 Stars

A chance dance recital, a meddling brother and lust at first sight; a perfect twist(er) in MK Schiller’s contribution to the Falling Hard Anthology.

Dancer Lilly Franklin and wounded warrior James Hutchinson’s first meeting, reads like a fairy tale, though neither of their lives has been easy.

But tough choices need to be made in the midst of their whirlwind romance.

Will Lilly leave Hutch hollow-chested once more?

Will the former soldier stay true to form and sacrifice his heart to let Lilly follow her dream? And will she find out too late, there's no place like home?

A lot of story and character development for a novella, almost reads like a full length novel. Although I wish it was because I wouldn’t have minded spending some more time with Lilly and James.

I enjoyed Tin Man’s Dance so much I hope there’s a sequel in the works for Hutch’s brother, up-and-comer indie artist, Colton Keyes!
(perhaps trying to find time in his busy concert schedule to fit in Lilly and James’ wedding?) :D

I received an ARC of Tin Man’s Dance for review

Author Bio:
I am a hopeless romantic in a hopelessly pragmatic world. I have a full time life and two busy teenagers, but in the dark of night, I sit by the warm glow of my computer monitor, reading or writing, usually with some tasty Italian…the food that is!
I started imagining stories in my head at a very young age. In fact, I got so good at it that friends asked me to create plots featuring them as the heroine and the object of their affection as the hero. You've heard of fan fiction... this was friend fiction.

I hope you enjoy my stories and always find The Happily Ever After in every endeavor.

I love hearing from readers so please write to me!
